Meet Dr. Ali

Ali Merz, PT, DPT

Ali is a native of Mandeville, Louisiana. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, she moved to Azusa, California to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University. As a new mom, Ali recently relocated to Mobile to be closer to her southern family and to bring pelvic floor physical therapy to patients suffering with pelvic disorders on the Gulf Coast.

After gaining experience in orthopedics, chronic pain management, and pelvic rehabilitation, Ali found her passion for helping patients with chronic pain and pelvic pain/dysfunction. While practicing with one of the top pelvic floor physical therapists, she completed continuing education courses from world renowned clinicians in chronic pain, women’s/men’s pelvic health, visceral (organ) mobilization, and craniosacral therapy. Starting her career in Orange County, California gave her the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with leading physicians in pelvic pain to aid her patients’ healing.

Ali strives to bring patients a new understanding of their body and of their pain through individualized, one-on-one sessions focused on holistic treatments and education. She is passionate about spending time with her patients, allowing them to feel heard, and uncovering the root cause of their pelvic dysfunction.

Outside of the clinic, (since they are new to Mobile) you can find Ali and her husband, their daughter and dog exploring new restaurants and parks!
